Jake “Bboy Boogie B” Riley
Breaking Instructor / Studio Co-Owner / Class Director

Jacob “Bboy Boogie B” Riley has been a devoted practitioner of the original style of Hip Hop Dance, “Breaking” for 21 years. During this time, Jake has Jake has traveled both nationally and internationally, winning over 45 competitions. In August of 2014, Jake co-founded Minnesota’s first dance studio dedicated to Hip Hop and Street Dance called, “House of Dance Twin Cities”. In May of 2016, Jake graduated from North Hennepin Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, along with a certificate in Entrepreneurship to further his management skills at the studio. In June of 2018, Jake and his wife, Bao, founded their 501c3 non-profit called, “House of Dance Foundation” to further provide classes and programming to a greater outreach of people in the Twin Cities and beyond. Since HODF’s inception, HODF has been a three-time recipient of the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council Flexible Support grant, along with the 2024 Metropolitan Stat Arts Board (MSAB) Arts Experiences grant. HODF has also acted as a fiscal sponsor for local artists and dance companies such as BRKFST Dance Co. Today, Jake is a father of three and co-owns House of Dance Twin Cities alongside his wife, Bao Riley. Today, House of Dance Twin Cities is in its 12th year of operation, having served thousands of students, hosted over 10 local dance events, competitions, guest workshops, community Q&A forums and more. Jake is the lead choreographer and coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Breakdancing on court performance group, the “First Ave Breakers” and has been performing with them for 15 years. He has worked with companies such as: Target, Boston Scientific, Red Bull and Monster Energy on dance related projects. Additional notable performance experience includes dancing alongside platinum selling recording artists such as: Vanilla Ice, Montell Jordan, Quad City DJs, Bell Biv Devoe and performed alongside Justin Timberlake for theSuperbowl LII Pepsi halftime performance at the US Bank Stadium in February of 2018.

Wealthy Phonseya
Breaking Instructor / Graphic Designer

Wealthy Phonseya has been breaking for over 20 years, training, competing, and representing nationally and internationally within the Hip Hop community. He is a member of Rock Force Crew (est. 1983), where he has competed at major events including Battle of the Year and Hip Opsession.
Based in Minnesota, Wealthy has performed on professional stages, including work on the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show production, performances with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, and theater productions at the Southern Theater.
Outside of dance, he is a professional graphic designer specializing in brand identity and currently serves as the designer for House of Dance Twin Cities.
As an instructor, Wealthy focuses on strong foundations, musicality, and helping students build confidence while staying connected to the roots of Hip Hop culture.
David “Bboy Abide” Pellinen
Breaking Instructor

David “Abide” Pellinen has been a dedicated force in Hip Hop culture since 1998, when he began his journey in the art of Breaking. What started as a personal passion has grown into a global movement of teaching, learning, and community building—carrying Abide’s influence to cities such as Kampala, Tokyo, Nairobi, Amsterdam, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, and throughout his home state of Minnesota, with deep roots in the Twin Cities.A respected performer and collaborator, Abide has shared the stage with iconic artists including KRS-One, Naughty by Nature, Vanilla Ice, DJ Premier, Lupe Fiasco, and Diamond D, among others. His career highlights include regular performances at Minnesota NBA and WNBA games from 2009–2015, as well as an appearance in the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show alongside Justin Timberlake.
Beyond performance, Abide is a visionary leader within the dance community. He is a co-founder of influential groups such as 612 Crew, New Heist Dance Crew, and Dance Orchestra, and has played a key role in developing Hip Hop and Breaking curricula used in schools and programs. His commitment to mentorship and service is reflected in his volunteer leadership with TC Omega and BreakFree Ministries.
Continuing to perform, judge, compete, teach, host open sessions, and mentor the next generation, Abide remains a pillar of Hip Hop culture—dedicated to preserving its roots, expanding its reach, and strengthening the Twin Cities community while impacting dancers around the world.
Tai Brown
Hip Hop Dance Instructor

Tai, born and raised in Minnesota has been dancing for as long as he can remember with videos dating all the way back to 2006. Tai danced because he could never sit still and it was a great outlet of expression for him. Tai loved watching his brother dance as he watched dance movies and it inspired Tai to dance as well. Tai uses styles such as hip hop, litefeet, house, animation and Krump! His first styles were breaking and jerking. Tai had his first big dance experience in 2016 at a dance battle hosted by house of dance where he got to watch David jr and Herb Johnson battle each other. Tai at the young age of 17 choreographed a piece for the opening of the US Bank Stadium for twin cities pulse! In 2019 at the age of 18 he also co choreographed a piece for “Rooted Hip Hop Choreographers Evening”held at the Ordway. Tai has battled, competed and won all over the U.S. with his favorite battles being in Chicago and Texas, which is something he continues to do today.
Bryn Hunyh
Hip Hop Dance Instructor

Bryn began her dance journey in 2017 as a student at House of Dance, where she developed a strong foundation in Hip-Hop. Over the years, her dedication led her to become an instructor, working with students ages 3-18 in both dance and youth-focused settings. She is also a member of FINESSE Homies, a Minnesota-based competitive team that specializes in open-style and cover choreography. In addition to teaching and performing, Bryn is an event organizer for the Homies Showcase—an event designed to build community and celebrate dancers and choreographers from across the Midwest. Whether in the studio or on stage, she is committed to helping youth grow in confidence, creativity, and connection through dance.
George “Bboy George” Baugh
Breaking Instructor

George Baugh been breaking since 2015 and has been a student at House of Dance Twin Cities for the entirety of his breaking career. George has a passion for art from a young age and thrives in creative and authentic spaces, like House of Dance. George is a part of the most tenured and prestigious Breaking student group, at House of Dance, “Break Fluid” and for him has truly been unreal. Through our shared passion for dance, he’s forged deep connections and relationships with his fellow Break Fluid teammates. To George, it feels like he’s gained a second family, united by our love for this art. George has competed across the country, in cities such as Denver and Boston and have had multiple opportunities to work with various organizations such as Monster Energy. George specializes in the more technical side of breaking in elements like footwork, prioritizing originality and the ability to create.
Cameron “Bboy Cam” Estes
Breaking Instructo
Started breaking in 2009 at the age of 16 in St. Louis, MO. He moved to Minnesota in May 2021. He has traveled and competed in competitions throughout the country. He represents Rising Starz Crew (MO) and Icy Styles (MN). His style is all-around because he likes to cover all aspects of breaking.
