This class will review the social hip hop moves learned in Hip Hop Choreo/Urban Dance I, add on more difficult social hip hop moves not taught in the beginner class, and introduce students to the dance styles called “House” and “Waacking.”
In order to register for this class, the student must be admitted upon recommendation of the instructor.
Throughout the session, the students will be working on freestyling and learning a routine with formations and transitions. Unlike the beginner’s class, students will be learning a routine that has less repetitive movements, making it more challenging. Students will be introduced to concepts such as adding texture, milking movements, marking a routine, and having facials/character.
On the last day of class we invite the families to film the students performing the routine with special lighting and our House of Dance outfits.
