My name is Nikki and you came up in my search for hip hop dance classes for children with autism. So my question is do you work with children who have special needs. If not that’s okay I will continue my search but if you do I would like more information.
    Thank you for your time

I’m interested in classes for my 6+ year old. He is very athletic and loves to dance. He’s excited about taking classes and I want to make sure I get him enrolled for the fall before classes fill up. Please let me know when the info is available.

    Thanks

Is there any way I could still sign up for the adult Hip Hop Class for this fall and do you ever just have open studio time for people to come in and dance?

    1. houseofdancetc

      Hello Michaela,

Thank you for reaching out to us! Our fall adult Hip Hop class is now full and we do not host open practices. However, our winter class schedule will be posted and available online in about 3 weeks. I recommend signing up for our newsletter by scrolling about 1/2 way down on our homepage here and filling out the few easy prompts. Once signed up, you will be the first to know about class openings, special guest workshops, upcoming events here at the studio + more.

Thank you again and please let us know if you have any questions.

What are some of your oldest participants?
And where is your studio located?
Do you break down the moves so they are easy to learn?

    1. houseofdancetc

      Good evening Sarah,

Thank you for your comment. Our oldest student is 66 years old and she currently takes our Adult Breakdancing class. Our studio is located in the downtown area of Hopkins, Minnesota. I have included our address below for you:

      5 7th Ave. N
      Hopkins, MN 55343

Our instructors do a great job of breaking down each move in a way that students are able to understand. We teach all ages/experience levels and have curriculum that is specific to each style & class. Registration is open on our website here now for our summer classes and if you have any questions, please let us know.

      Thanks again!

    Good morning Gillian,

Thank you for reaching out to us! Registration is open on our website now and our class schedules are available on our homepage. Your sister can choose a class that fits her age by clicking the “classes” tab at the top of our screen. If she is an adult, I would recommend one of our adult Hip Hop Dance class options. We have one on Tuesday nights and another on Wednesday nights, both from 7:10pm-8:40pm.

If you have any questions, please give us a call at (952)-405-9104, or email us at houseofdancetc@gmail.com. Thanks again!

  7. Amaya

Hello I am wanting to sing up for a class. But I don’t know which one to do. I am 12 years old and have done hip hop classes at school and 5 years of modern dance. What do you think would be best?
    -Amaya

    1. houseofdancetc

      Hello Amaya,

Thank you for reaching out to us! What I would recommend is one of our Beg. Hip Hop 1 (ages 9-12) classes this fall. We’ve found that our curriculum differs from other studios and we like all of our students to become familiar with what we teach. I am sure though that with your previous experience that you will learn quickly! We do also have assessments towards the end of each session where we will make a recommendation for the following session. Lastly, every student who registers with us this fall will automatically be able to perform in our 2nd annual Fall Student Showcase on Sunday, November 17th.

If you have any questions, please call us here at (952)-405-9104 or email us at: houseofdancetc@gmail.com. Thank you again for your comment and I hope to meet you in class with us soon!

      Sincerely,

Do you offer competition classes? My 10 year old daughter is in a hip hop competition class in Woodbury and is looking for something where she can grow and be more challenged, without having to also do jazz, tap, ballet etc. Do you have a lot of advancing opportunities and performances? She wants more than just a once a year recital, so competition has been her way to get on stage more often.

    1. houseofdancetc

      Hello Kari,

Thank you for your comment! We focus entirely on Hip Hop Dance here and can definitely work with her in this respective style. We do have a series of levels within the Hip Hop classes that she can advance through along with performance opportunities that are offered throughout the year. We are not a part of the formal dance competition circuit, however we do performances at venues such as the Mall of America, Target Center, Ordway Center for the Arts and other venues around town. We do also plan to take some trips out of state to competitions and workshops for our more advanced groups.

With the ongoing COVID pandemic, there has been limited opportunity to do these things. However with things starting to open and as we come into the summer, we anticipate more opportunities to come.

To discuss options further, please feel free to email us at: houseofdancetc@gmail.com or give us a call here directly at (952)405-9104 anytime between 10am-8:30pm Mon-Sat.

Thank you again for reaching out and we hope to hear from you soon!
